Synthetic Judgment

The disabling of linguistic and philosophical research leads to a weakening of the very production of meaning, and this is reflected in both interpretation and theology.

What Appears from the Conjunction of the Atoms

When the atom of Islamic tensions having an Aristotelian origin is brought together with the atoms of the Arab-Islamic reality, the dominance of traditional religious reason, and the separation of tradition from modernity and science, it becomes clear that the crisis is not a matter of isolated theoretical disagreements. The Aristotelian origin of the tensions points to a structure of thought that requires linguistic and philosophical tools in order to be understood and managed. When free research weakens, disagreement no longer remains treatable from within; rather, it turns into repetition. Moreover, the dominance of traditional reason does not mean merely the presence of tradition, but its control over the very conditions of questioning. As for the separation from modernity and science, it amplifies this effect, because it severs the connection with the tools that make it possible to renew interpretation and review the inherited legacy. In this way, the harm takes shape as a structural consequence: the suspension of the tool suspends movement, and the disabling of movement freezes meaning.
