What Emerges from the Meeting of the Atoms
The atoms are not read here as a ranking between two civilizations, but as an anatomy of the structure of epistemic formation. Thus the gap between the Islamic and European trajectories places the comparison at the level of the historical conditions that made religious understanding develop in a different way.
